Die Stadt Krk
Die Stadt Krk wird oft in vielen Werbefilmen für einen Urlaub in Kroatien zu sehen sein, denn diese Stadt bietet ein herrliches Motiv bei Sonnenuntergang.
In der Antike war es eine bedeutsame Seestadt und hat heute rund 1500 Einwohner. Diese Stadt ist nicht nur der Namensgeber der gleichnamigen Insel, sondern auch die Hauptstadt auf dieser Insel wie man es sich schon denken mag.
Als die Römer auf diese Insel kamen bauten sie einen riesigen Schutzwall, welcher die Stadt heute noch sehr gut schützt.
Hier fand auch eine bedeutende Seeschlacht ein halbes Jahrhundert v. Chr. zwischen Pompejus und Cäsar statt. In der Antike war es eine lebhafte Handelsstadt und deswegen findet man hier auf dem Meeresboden unzählige von gesunkenen Schiffen vor.
Dies ersteinmahl zu der Geschichte dieser Stadt.
Heute hat hier der Tourismus Einzug gehalten, wie überall in Kroatien.
Wenn man in dieser Stadt ist, dann sollte man unbedingt auch einen Stadtbummel unternehmen, da es nur herrlich ist.
Eine Zürgelbaumallee und die Promenade führen direkt ins Zentrum von Krk und diese, man muss es schon erwähnen, ist absolut autofrei. Keine Abgase oder lästiger Lärm stören einem beim Einkaufen und man findet hier alles was nur für Touristen gedacht sein kann.
An der Hafenpromenade kann man dann die Fischer beobachten wie diese ihre Netze flicken und man läuft dann auch völlig automatisch auf das Kastell zu.
Dort einmal angekommen, sollte man dieses auch besichtigen und es hat vieles zu bieten.
Man kann also sagen, nicht nur diese Inselhauptstadt ist es wert hier her zu kommen, sondern im Grund die ganze Insel ist lohnenswert.
